• Discounted Ticket = $375.00 - Limited refund and no fee-free reschedule options - accept reschedule if we cancel (Refund available on 3rd cancellation by us)

• Regular Ticket = $445.00 - Refund 21+ days out + Refunds if we cancel + one fee-free reschedule 14+ days out from a course

Open dated tickets are for use within 12 months of issue. Unused tickets can be extended a further 12 months for a 15% fee.

Safer Communities – Full Ticket Conditions

 

Safer Communities offers three ticket types for MHFA Training:

1. Discounted Ticket (+ Early Bird Option)

2. Regular Ticket

3. Flexible Ticket

The $140 MHFA eLearning activation fee applies to all Blended MHFA courses and is non-refundable once MHFA-issued eLearning is activated, regardless of ticket type.

1. Discounted Ticket (Limited / Early Bird)

Low-cost ticket with strict conditions - Early Bird Discounted Tickets not available above a quota allocated per course, or under 45 days from a course - Discounted Tickets usually not sold in last 2 weeks before a course.

Refunds

• Not refundable if the participant cancels under 30 days from training date

• Refunds are only offered after the 3rd cancellation of the course by Safer Communities (SC).

  • 1st SC cancellation: Participant must accept a reschedule.

  • 2nd SC cancellation: Participant must accept a reschedule.

  • 3rd SC cancellation: Participant must accept a reschedule.

  • After the 3rd SC cancellation → Refund permitted.

Reschedules

• Customer-initiated reschedule requests made within 30 days of the course attract a $275 reschedule fee.

• If SC cancels (first three times), participant must accept a reschedule.

• Discount tickets may be held open-dated for up to 12 months from original booking.

• SC-initiated reschedules are always fee-free.

2. Regular Ticket

Refunds

• Full refund if cancelled 21+ days before the training date.

• 50% refund if cancelled up to 7 days before the course.

• No refund if cancelled under 7 days or for no-shows.

• If SC cancels the course → participant may choose a refund or reschedule.

  • If eLearning has been activated → $140 deducted.

Reschedules

• 1 x Fee-Free Reschedule allowed - must be 14+ days from start date

• Subsequent requests - $275 reschedule fee.

• SC-initiated reschedules are always fee-free.

3. Flexible Ticket

Maximum flexibility with clear limits

Refunds

• Fully refundable up to 7 days from start date

• Refunds do not apply to any rescheduled session, unless Safer Communities (SC) cancels that rescheduled session.

• If SC cancels the course → participant may choose a refund or reschedule.

• If eLearning has been activated → $140 deducted.

Reschedules

• One fee-Free reschedule up to day of training

• Subsequent requests - $275 reschedule fee.

• SC-initiated reschedules are always fee-free.

No-Shows

• Flexible Tickets: Fee Free Reschedule on 1st occasion

• All other Tickets: No refund; reschedule fees apply if rebooking.

TICKET CONDITIONS - EXTRA INFO

1. Definitions

• Course date: The scheduled start date/time of the first live session.

• Days: Calendar days, counted back from the course start time.

• eLearning component: The MHFA eLearning access included with Blended Online courses. Once activated, it is non-refundable and valued at $140.

2. Refunds — Regular Tickets

• 21+ days before the course: Full refund, less $140 if the eLearning component has been activated.

• 20-7 days before the course: 50% refund, less $140 if eLearning has been activated.

• Under 7 days before the course or no-show: No refund. (See Reschedules below.)

If Safer Communities cancels a course, Regular Ticket holders may choose a full refund (less $140 if eLearning activated) or a reschedule to another published date.

3. Refunds — Discounted Tickets

• Discounted Tickets are not refundable within 30 days of the course date.

• If Safer Communities cancels a public course due to low numbers, Discounted Ticket holders will be rescheduled (see Section 4) rather than refunded, until 3 cancellations occur. Then refund allowed.

4. Reschedules (participant-initiated)

• Requests to move to another date are subject to availability and reschedule fees. See ticket type conditions above.

• A reschedule must place you into a course within 12 months of your original booking date and 3 months within completion of eLearning (if applicable)

• No-show: Reschedule may be offered at Safer Communities’ discretion; fees apply.

5. Reschedules (when Safer Communities cancels)

If Safer Communities cancels a course:

• Regular or Flexible Tickets: Choose a refund (less $140 if eLearning activated) or reschedule.

• Discounted Tickets: Offered a reschedule to the next available MHFA course on our Training Calendar, or any published date within 12 months of the ticket issue/booking date on three occasions

• Ticket holders can opt for automatic reschedule or have 7 days from our cancellation notice to select an alternative date. If no selection is made within 7 days, we’ll proceed with an automatic reschedule.

• Discounted Tickets may remain open-dated until the 12-month deadline from booking date.

6. Open-Dated Tickets

• Valid for 12 months from the issue date at any Safer Communities Blended Online MHFA course.

• You may extend validity by a further 12 months for a 15% fee per ticket (based on the per-person ticket price paid).

7. eLearning Component (MHFA)

• Once activated, the eLearning component is non-refundable and valued at $140.

• Any refund (where eligible) will be less $140 if eLearning has been activated.

8. Transfers

• You may transfer your ticket to another participant before the course starts (no fee for name change). The new participant must meet any course prerequisites (e.g., eLearning completion). MHFA issued eLearning cannot be transferred once activated. Fee for new eLearning for re-named Blended Ticket = $140.00 (this applies to all ticket types)

9. How to request a change

• Email bookings@safercommunities.com.au with your name, order number, and request (refund, reschedule, or transfer).

• We’ll confirm eligibility and any fees before processing.

10. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Where we fail to provide the service with due care and skill or cancel a course, you may be entitled to a remedy.
